WHAT IS THE DEER PARK BAND BOOSTER CLUB?

This group supports and assists the school and band directors in providing a high quality band program in the Deer Park schools. The Deer Park Band Booster Club helps with fund raising efforts and provides help to the program in many different areas. All parents are asked to participate in the operation of these efforts during the school year. If all parents work together, your children and the band program will benefit greatly.

HOW DOES THE BAND BOOSTER CLUB MAKE IT’S MONEY?

The Band Booster Club helps with many different fund raising events throughout the year for example the Concession Service, Barbecue Dinner, Spaghetti Dinner, and Golf Tournament. All parents continue work and support in these efforts to help raise funds to continue improving our band program.

HOW DOES THE BAND BOOSTER CLUB SPEND IT’S MONEY?

The Band Booster Club use it’s money to help meet the high cost of instruments, supplies, and expenses of improving and exhibiting our band program. Most of the funds are used for Master Class Teachers with the rest going towards contest fees.

HOW DO PARENTS HELP?

There are many ways parents help make the Band Booster Club successful......

  1. They volunteer their services to help work at many of the fund raising activities that are being done.
  2. They Chaperone Band Trips - Events include football games, marching contests, concert contests, solo and ensemble contests, region tryouts, and concerts.
  3. They help to assign uniforms.
  4. They work on the phone committee to contact parents when information needs to be sent out.
  5. They attend the meetings.
  6. They volunteer at least one game to work the Concession Service.
We encourage all parents to support this organization and their children by attending Band Booster Club meetings and performances by the band.
