Gary Hebert-----Mr. Hebert has been the Director of Bands at Deer Park High School for 17 years. He is a 1982 graduate of the University of Houston with a degree in Music Education. He received a Masters degree from the University of Houston in 1993. Prior to coming to Deer Park, Mr. Hebert taught in the Spring Branch and Sheldon school districts. Under his direction, the Deer Park Band has received numerous 1st division awards in marching, concert, and sightreading competitions. Mr. Hebert still enjoys playing trombone for several local church orchestras and has perfomed extensively with Houston area dance bands. His professional affiliations include the American Federation of Musicians, The Texas Music Educators Association and The Texas Bandmasters Association.
