Louis Means – Varsity Head Coach

Coach Means is beginning his 23rd year of coaching in Deer Park and his 25th year overall.  He spent his first two years of coaching in Mississippi. He then spent his first 4 years in Deer Park at Bonnette Junior High.  He has been at the high school for the last 19 years.   Coach Means is a  1977 graduate of  McCluer High School in Jackson, MS.  He is a 1981 graduate of Belhaven College where he lettered in baseball.  He has been married for 15 years to his wife Sheri.  They have two kids together, Connor(12) and Collin(10).  He enjoys playing golf in his spare time and spending time with his family.

Kirk Lowe – Junior Varsity

Coach Lowe is beginning his 14th year of coaching.  He began his coaching career at Deer Park Junior High where he spent 4 glorious years.  Coach Lowe then spent the next 8 years with the freshman program and is now in his second year as the varsity assistant.Kirk is a 1992 graduate of Baylor University. He is a 1988 cum laude graduate of Baytown Lee High School, Fighting Ganders. This is where he met Traci, his beautiful wife of 15 years.
They have two wonderful children, Justin(10) and Lauren(7).  Coach Lowe enjoys fishing in his spare time.

Dustin Hacker – Sophomore

Coach Hacker is beginning his 3rd year of coaching.  He spent his first two years at Fairmont Junior High and is currently in his first year as an assistant here at the high school.  Dustin is a 1999 cum laude graduate and former player here at Deer Park High School.  He went on to graduate from Texas State University in 2003.  He has been married to his beautiful wife Crystal for 1 year.  Coach Hacker enjoys listening to music, watching sports, and exercising in his spare time.

John Davis – Freshman A

Coach Davis is beginning his 15th year of coaching and his 3rd year here at Deer Park.  He spent his first year as the sophomore coach and is now entering his 2nd year as the Freshman A coach.  John is a 1985 graduate of Broadway Baptist High School and a 1991 graduate of Texas A&M University.  He has been married for 15 years to his wife Kim.  They have two children together, daughter Madison and son Matthew.  John enjoys hunting and fishing in his spare time.

Audie Johnson – Freshman B

Coach Johnson is entering his 13th year coaching and his 3rd year here in Deer Park.  He began his career at Hilltop Christian Academy, with stops at Canyon Creek Christian Academy and Anahuac along the way.  Audie is a 1994 graduate of Hilltop Christian Academy and a 2000 graduate of Southwest Texas State University.  He is married to his wife Sara and enjoys reading in his spare time.

Doug Bull– Strength and Conditioning Coach

Doug Bull begins his 2nd season as Deer Park’s High School’s Strength and Conditioning Coach and his first year as the District Strength and Conditioning Coordinator. He brings with him over 13 years of strength and conditioning experience ranging from High School to Division I athletics. Including coaching stops at Northern State, Fort Hays State, Illinois State, and The United States Naval Academy.
During his eight years as a college basketball strength and conditioning coach, he has be a part of one National Championship and four trips to the Elite 8 at the Division II level, and a one Division I Conference Championship.
He left the college coaching ranks to come to Texas where he would have opportunity to help a greater number of young people reach their athletic goals.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology and a Master’s Degree in Education. He is certified as a specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and also holds certifications through the United States Weightlifting Association and the National Academy of Sport Medicine.

Coach Bull is a native of Clay Center, KS. He and his wife Amy have one son, Hayden (2).
