GUIDELINES FOR RETURNING TO SCHOOL FOLLOWING AN ILLNESS
A student who has an infectious or contagious disease shall be excluded from school until the danger of transmitting the infection or disease to other students has passed. The requirements for readmission to school, established by the State Department of Health or a physician's certificate, shall be utilized for determining readmission. Students must be free of fever, vomiting, and diarrhea for 24 hours before returning to school.

GUIDELINES FOR MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION AT SCHOOL
The school follows state guidelines and mandates with regard to administering medications to students. Only the school district's delegated employees will administer medication to students. A written request from the parent, legal guardian, or other person having legal control of the student must be submitted before the child can receive medication at school. Forms are available for your convenience in the clinic. The written request must state the following: student's name, name of medication, date, time, and dosage. All prescription medication must have a prescription label and be submitted in the original container or a prescription must be sent from the physician (in case of samples). Ask your pharmacy for an additional labeled container to send part of the medication to school with your child. This may be left at school until the medication has been taken. All medications must be brought to the clinic in the ORIGINAL CONTAINER clearly labeled as to content, the student's name, and directions for time and dosage. All medications must be FDA approved. No foreign medications will be accepted. Students are not allowed to carry medications throughout the day.
