Coaching Staff

Theresa White - Varsity

Coach White is a graduate of Rockdale High School.She played two years of college basketball at Temple Junior College and two years at the University of Texas at Arlington. Coach White earned her Associate of Arts degree from TJC and her Bachelor of Arts degree from UTA. She began coaching in Deer Park in 1992. Coach White became the Lady Deer Basketball Varsity Coach in 2001. This year, Coach White was chosen by her peers as Teacher of the Year for North Campus.

 

Cheryl Ray - Junior Varsity

Coach Ray graduated from West Hardin High School in 1983.She attended Stephen F. Austin State University from 1983-1989. Coach Ray graduated with her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Kinesiolgy. She began coaching at Deer Park in 1995. In 2001, she became the Lady Deer Junior Varsity Coach.

 

 

Paul Coné - Freshmen A

Coach Cone joined the Lady Deer coaching staff in 2002. Before coming to DPISD, he coached at Sharpstown High, Sam Houston High, and Tarkington High. Coach Cone is a graduate of Illinois State University. He earned his Bachelors Degree in education.

 

 

Jonette Ozen- Freshmen B

Coach Ozen graduated cum laude from Clifton J. Ozen High School in May of 2000. After graduation she attended Prairie View A&M University from 2000-2004. She played volleyball all four years on a full athletic scholarship and graduated with her BBA in Management Information Systems. Coach Ozen is a new addition to the Deer Park High School basketball coaching staff and is assuming the position of the Freshman B team coach.
