Deer Park National Open The USTA Girls and Boys 12 National Open Tennis Tournament is coming to Deer Park again July 2-6, 2005! This Tournament will bring in players from around the country to compete in Singles and Doubles. The proceeds from this Tournament will be used to renovate our facilities in the Deer Park Independent School District, and any thing that remains we will donate to our summer recreational program, and USA Team Tennis. We are currently looking for sponsors for this event. Player entry fees cover the basic costs of running this tournament, but we need additional help in making this a first class experience for these visitors to our area. These items include a professional umpiring staff, awards for sportsmanship, and hospitality for players, parents, coaches and the many volunteers who conduct this event. Also another goal is making this event a fundraiser for improving the Deer Park School's Tennis Facilities, and contributing money to aid in continuing the USA Team Tennis and summer recreational program. This program is run through the summer and is limited by funds. As well, the Tennis facilities in Deer Park ISD are in some need of equipment and refurbishing to continue the early installation of young people into a valuable program, such as the Tennis program. Your contribution will allow us to meet our dual goals of running a top national level tournament while also providing funds to Deer Park Tennis Programs.
