School Policy for Illness
GUIDELINES FOR COMMUNICABLE DISEASES:
Children with an infectious or contagious disease should stay home until the danger of transmitting the disease has passed.
FEVER: (100.4 DEGREES or greater): Student must be free of fever for 24 hours before returning to school.
STREP THROAT: Re-admit after 24 hours from date antibiotic treatment started.
HEAD LICE: Re-admit when student is free of live lice.
VOMITING or DIARRHEA: Your child should stay at home if they have these symptoms during the night or in the morning. Re-admit when free from diarrhea and vomiting for 24 hours.
PINK EYE (CONJUNCTIVITIS): Re-admit with doctor's written statement.
