1. How can I help my students become self-directed learners?

I’ve always believed in teaching children to become independent.  For them to become self-directed is considered a virtue.

I will provide hands-on activities that I will select for students to be able to do themselves, and keeping it consistent for them to instill in their minds that every assignment is going to be self-directed. I will allow them to take risks when trying the self-directed activities.

2. How can I support the diverse needs of learners?

I will support the diverse needs of learners by working in small groups with them. One on one tutoring, as well as peer tutoring. I will make eye-contact to mak sure that understand the concept being taught as well.

1. How can the creation of a student sample help me clarify unit expectations and improve my instructional design?

By having a student sample created, I am able to focus on having my unit questions displayed and showing a complete product. With that in mind, I will be able to make any changes by having created a sample beforehand.

2. How can I ensure students will achieve the learning objectives when creating their student projects?

It becomes their own personal all hands-on creation allowing them to follow either a check-list or personal rubric to guide them on completing their project.
