These students are the "5th Grade
Times" newspaper reporters.

Students are constantly trying to improve their keyboarding skills . At Dabbs, we use a program called Ultra Key that measures words per minute and percent accuracy. Using this method, we keep a "Top 10" list of the best keyboarders in school called the "Keyboard Kids".

This 5th grade student is leading with 64 words per minute for
Top Keyboarder for 2007.

Popcorn on Sale
Students are able to purchase a bag of popcorn for $1.00 each in the computer lab. Flavors are white cheddar and salsa and cheddar. The money raised is used to purchase equipment for the school such as cartridges, headphones, printers, cameras or items needed for the Dragon Morning News and computer lab.
