Health Science Technology Education is designed for students interested in pursuing a career in health care. Students who have an interest in a health career will explore opportunities in a variety of health careers. This investigative process will help students make realistic and satisfying career choices.

Health Science Technology will provide a student with basic entry – level knowledge and skills required for a variety of health occupations. The opportunities and benefits offered by a career in health care are numerous. The rapid advancement in medical technology continues to increase life expectancy and improve the equality of life for the elderly, severely injured, or disabled Americans. These factors lead to the importance of having a well-prepared workforce that can provide quality health care to Americans.

Students selecting Health Science Cooperative Education are provided the opportunity to receive school-based instruction and work with one of our local Health Care providers. Students currently are employed at the offices of Doctors, Dentist, Orthodontist, Chiropractors, DPISD School Clinics, Athletic Trainers DPISD, Veterinarians, and Pharmacist.
