Technology Agreement

Use of the computer and other IT products provides great educational benefits to students.  Students are responsible for good behavior on the Internet, just as in the classroom.  Unfortunately, some materials—accessible via the Internet—may contain items that are illegal, defamatory, or potentially offensive.  Access to the Internet is given as a privilege to students who agree to act in a responsible manner and is stringently monitored.  Please read and sign the following rules for acceptable technology usage:

  1. Network storage areas are accessible to school administrators and student’s teachers.  The school reviews files and communications to maintain system integrity and ensure that users are using the system responsibly.
  2. Students must maintain academic integrity while in our class:
  1. Food or drink at the computer tables is strictly prohibited.
  2. No individual music or headphones. 
  3. Do not download or upload audio, video, or data files onto the hard drive.

I have read the Technology Agreement, understand the rules, and agree to comply.  Should I violate the rules, I understand that I may lose network privileges at DPHS, will be documented to a principal, and my parents will be notified.
