Assignments:
Never put papers on my desk. Turn your work into the appropriate tray. All unfinished class work is homework. Homework will always be due at the beginning of the next class period. You must show your work to receive credit . If the assignment is complete and you show your work, you will receive a grade of 100. If the assignment is less than 100% complete but more than 50% attempted and you show your work, you will receive a grade of 50. If less than 50% of the assigned problems are attempted you will receive a grade of zero. If you turn in a paper without a name, 10 points will be deducted from the grade. TAKS assignments will be graded on a percentage basis.

If you do not have your homework ready to turn in at the appropriate time, you may come to tutorials and work on a related tutorial assignment. The related tutorial assignment can be substituted for the homework assignment that was not turned in.

If you are assigned CIA, it is your responsibility to copy assignments from the assignment sheet and bring the CIA form to me for my signature.

Extra Credit Policy:
If extra credit assignments are given, they will be given to the entire class, not to individuals.

Make-up Work:
After an absence, it is your responsibility to ask for any assignments that you have missed. Depending on the length of your absence, you will have a maximum of 5 days to turn in those assignments. Assignments that were given before an absence are due on the day your return to school. Unless class time permits, all quizzes and test must be made up before or after school.

Retesting Policy:
If a student scores below 70 on a test, he may be allowed to take a retest to improve the score. However, no student will be allowed to retest more than two major exams within a six weeks grading period. The highest score allowed on a retest is 70. In order to retest, the student is first required to either correct the original test, or to complete a remediation assignment. If a student does not successfully correct the original test or complete the remediation assignment, the opportunity to retest is forfeited. Retest on the TAKS benchmarks will not be given.
