TRIGONOMETRY SIMULATIONS

Let’s investigate some simulations on the Internet to help us understand how trigonometric functions work.

Our team will look at two simulations.

Circle simulation:

1. Go to the following site: http://www.dynamicgeometry.com/javasketchpad/gallery/pages/sine_waver.php
Sine Wave Geometry

2. Change circle size.  Move circle size from regular to larger to smaller.  For each circle size, sketch the resulting wave.

3. Change start position. Start position at 0 degrees (due east).  Move to 90 degrees (due north), move to 180 degrees (due west), and move to 270 degrees (due south).  At each start position, sketch the resulting wave.

Go to Simfun - Sinusoidal Equations

Go back to Circular Trigonometry.
