    2017-18 Open Enrollment: July 25th to August 17th

    Open enrollment for the 2017-18 school year will be available from July 25thto August 17th. Please keep in mind any changes made during this period will take effect on September 1, 2017 and will remain in effect until August 31, 2018.

    Changes made outside of the open enrollment period will require a Major Life Event (MLE). If you experience an MLE, it must be reported to the Benefits Department within 30 days of the event.     New This Year - Providers Change

    For the 2017-18 school year, we will have a new benefit provider for Dental, Life, AD&D, Short Term Disability and Long Term Disability. Benefit coverage will move from Guardian to Lincoln Financial Group (LFG) effective September 1, 2017.

    New Offerings & Features with LFG:

    Dental:

    With LFG becoming a new provider to the District comes a new dental option available to employees. The PPO Low plan offers both and In/Out of Network benefit at a slightly lower premium. The most important difference in this new plan is this plan does not offer orthodontia treatment benefits.

    Life and AD&D:

    LFG offers a feature within their Voluntary Life and AD&D benefits. For employees wishing to increase their level of coverage, LFG offers the option for employees to increase their coverage by $20,000 each year without requiring Evidence of Insurability.

    Once you have had a chance to review the benefit information, you are ready to enroll! Please be sure you have social security numbers and date of birth for you and all dependents available.

    Once you have completed your enrollment, please be sure to print a copy of your confirmation statement. This will allow you to compare your confirmation statement to your benefit deductions on your September 15th earning statement.
