Deer Park ISD

Instruction is our business

Effective October 2014, the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) is now only administered as an online assessment. In Deer Park ISD, all TAKS testing of out-of-school students will occur at Deer Park High School - South Campus located at 710 W. San Augustine Deer Park, TX 77536. Testing will start at 8:45 AM each morning.

For the June 2017 Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) exit level tests, out-of-school (OOS) examinees (including former TAAS and TEAMS examinees) must register online at Registration opens April 10, 2017, and ends May 26, 2017, at 5:00 p.m. (CT). Examinees who do not register by May 26, 2017, must be registered by campus personnel at a participating campus on the day of testing, if the campus can accommodate them. A list of participating campuses can be found at

The June TAKS exit level tests will be administered as follows:

  • June 19, 2017 (English language arts)
  • June 20, 2017 (mathematics)
  • June 21, 2017 (science)
  • June 22, 2017 (social studies)

Because the TAAS tests are no longer being administered, former TAAS examinees (including former TEAMS examinees) will take the TAKS exit level mathematics and/or appropriate part of the English language arts test(s). TAKS scores will be matched to the appropriate TAAS passing standard.

On the day(s) of testing, examinees should arrive at the test site 30 minutes before the designated testing time. Examinees must present picture identification, such as a driver’s license, DPS ID, military ID, school ID, or resident alien card to test. Examinees will not be allowed to take the test(s) without a picture ID.
