About Mrs. Perlitz
Allow me to tell you a little bit about myself! I grew up right here in Deer Park. I'm a former Dabbs Dragon and a former Bonnette Bobcat. I'm also proud to be a graduate of Deer Park High School, Class of 1994. I went on to receive my education degree from Texas A&M University in 1998.
I began my career at Dabbs Elementary in the fall of 1998 as a third grade teacher. After ten wonderful years in third grade, I became a gifted and talented program specialist in the fall of 2008. I worked with gifted students at Dabbs, Parkwood and Deepwater elementaries for 8 years before switching things up a bit three years ago. I now serve Dabbs and Carpenter. This year marks my 22nd year as a teacher and I've loved every minute!
When I'm not busy teaching, I love to cook, travel and watch or read documentaries. My husband Josh and I have been married for 7 wonderful years. We have a beautiful daughter named Lena and two feisty Boston Terriers named George and Tinkerbell. Life is good!
