About Mrs. Gumm
Hello! I am Jessica Gumm, and I am a kindergarten teacher at Fairmont Elementary. This year will be my 3rd year here at Fairmont Elementary, and my 3rd year teaching kindergarten. After graduating from UHCL in 2015, I began substitute teaching in Deer Park ISD, and earned my certification through Texas Teachers. I began my teaching journey as a paraprofessional at the Early Childhood Center in 2019, and made the move to Kindergarten in 2020. I am married to my wonderful husband of 2 years, and together we have a one year old son, and a daughter on the way. We also have two fur babies, Chloe and Duke.
I have fond memories of my elementary teachers, and hope to have the same positive impact on your child and their educational journey. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was young, and am so excited to be in the classroom, doing what I love. I look forward to making fun memories with your child this year, and hope to begin a lifelong love of learning, as my former teachers did with me.
