Pasadena Councilmember Schoenbein presents check to FJH theatre production

Pasadena Councilmember District H Thomas Schoenbein and City of Pasadena Community Relations Educational Liaison Tish Eubanks stopped by Fairmont Junior High to present a $500 check to FJH Choir Director Kellie Cooper and FJH Theater Director Sarah Kouba.  The funds will support the school’s spring production of MATILDA, The Musical, which will be presented at 7 p.m. on April 26-27 at Gaines Mason Auditorium.  For more information about the production, stay tuned to https://www.dpisd.org/domain/869 in the coming weeks.

A handful of Deer Park ISD eighth-graders went to ABC/CMEF for some hands-on construction training. Students had the opportunity to explore and participate in several facets of the construction industry, such as carpentry, drywall, engineering, equipment, and pipefitting and learn more about safety, communication, and team-building.

Members of the Deer Park High School Commercial Photography Team have had a busy semester! 

 

Congratulations to Christian Torrez for receiving Honorable Mention from among more than 250 entries in January's Association of Texas Photography Instructors (ATPI) Twitter Photo Competition in the Lights out Social Media category. 

 

The photography team members were also among hundreds of students who recently attended the ATPI Winter Conference at the University of Texas – Arlington, where they participated in several photography contests and workshops.
