Thank you for your interest in substituting in Deer Park ISD.
Deer Park ISD is known throughout the State of Texas for its quality instructional programs, outstanding facilities and exemplary teaching and support staff. Deer Park was recognized as an “A” district from the Texas Education Agency.
In Deer Park ISD, new hire substitute applicant groups will be processed in cohorts during various times throughout the school year.
Beginning April 1, 2024, the substitute hiring application will be posted on the Human Resources job site during the first 10 business days of each EVEN month. Interested applicants are encouraged to apply during that designated timeframe.
Please be advised that all applicants will be required to complete and clear the required TEA fingerprinting and background check prior to the hiring process being initiated.
After applications, credentials and background checks have been reviewed, qualified applicants will be sent a Frontline hiring packet to complete and submit to the department.
Once all required forms are received in the system, you will be contacted to schedule an in person appointment to discuss district policies and to provide the final documents needed to complete the hiring process.
All new hire substitutes will be provided a link to complete a series of mandatory training videos.
Deer Park ISD utilizes the Frontline substitute system which provides a mobile application that makes it convenient for substitutes to view and secure job vacancies that will accommodate their personal work calendar.
