Instructional Technology

With the advancement of technology into almost every aspect of our lives, Instructional Technology has the responsibility to prepare students of Deer Park Independent School District to succeed. Regardless of career choice, all people need the problem-solving and critical thinking skills taught through hands-on technology instruction. Instructional Technology seeks to promote student potential for reasoning, imagining, creating, constructing, and expressing with technological tools. It is our desire to be the link between the education of today and the technology of tomorrow.

In addition, data such as attendance and special programs are reported to the Texas Education Agency.

Network Services

The Network Systems Department supports the integration of technology into instruction and the district-wide administrative system by providing and maintaining hardware, software, and adequate network connectivity. Network Systems also supports community partnerships by providing the means for the community to access DPISD information.

CoSN (Consortium for School Networking) Trusted Learning Environment Program

The CoSN TLE Seal Program is a mark of distinction. It is awarded to those school systems that are able to implement specific privacy requirements and demonstrate, through policies and practices, that they have implemented a holistic program to protect students’ personal information. Recipients of the TLE Seal are required to commit to continuously improving their privacy program and must demonstrate that commitment by recertifying every 2 years.

On August 30, 2023, CoSN awarded the Trusted Learning Environment (TLE) Seal to Deer Park Independent School District (DPISD).
