Deer Park High School Orchestra » Private Lessons

Private Lessons

Private lessons are strongly encouraged for students in all orchestra classes. They provide a tremendous opportunity for students to

  • Learn from an expert performer
  • Get one on one attention
  • Move at the pace of the student
  • Receive instruction that is tailored to the students’ individual needs

The rates offered by lessons through the school are very good rates. However, it is difficult to get teachers to come teach unless we can fill their day because Deer Park is a good drive from Houston. You are also welcome to look for teachers outside of school, just be aware that this will probably cost more than district lessons. Lesson times and availability will be honored on a first come, first served basis. It is to your benefit to register early. Do not be afraid to ask the directors for help in choosing a private teacher!

Additional information is available on Canvas.
