Hello! My name is Kellie Hill and I am the counselor at Carpenter Elementary.  I truly have the best job in the world working with the children and the amazing staff here.  I have the opportunity to visit with all students monthly in their classrooms where I provide a guidance lesson focused on the 40 Developmental Assets. I also provide individual and group counseling as needed.  I work with parents in creating plans for home when there are challenges that need to be addressed.
I am here to assist the whole Carpenter family in all areas.  I am always happy to meet with parents, students, and staff members to help provide a safe and comfortable environment for our children to learn.
You can reach me by phone at (832) 668-8403 or you can email me at khill@dpisd.org.

    What is Bullying?

A Hurtful Action - could be mean words, physical aggression, or excluding others.

It Happens Repeatedly (by the same person or group of people.)  It is NOT a one-time event.

It Is ONE Sided.  This means that only one person/side is doing the hurtful action.  If one person calls the other person a mean name and the other person retaliates, this is NOT bullying.

Check out this Padlet students created after discussing the power they held in preventing and ending bullying.
REPORTING is NOT Tattling.  Tattling is simply wanting to get someone in trouble.  Reporting is when someone is hurt and adult help is needed.
