Nominations needed for 2024 DPHS Hall of Honor

Do you know a Deer Park High School graduate who has made an outstanding contribution to his or her profession or community?

The Felton F. Waggoner Hall of Honor is seeking nominations for the Hall’s 2024 induction class.  The purpose of the Hall of Honor is to recognize Deer Park High School graduates who have distinguished themselves as role models within their professions or in their communities.

“Over the years, many outstanding Deer have been recognized by the Hall of Honor,” chairman Adrian Burke said.  “They include doctors, educators, foster parents, entertainers, athletes, and more.  Each of them has changed the world in some way, but they have one thing in common: they walked the halls of our community’s schools.”

The list of past inductees is impressive, but Burke said the most exciting aspect of the Hall’s work is that the best is yet to come.  “We know that there are more graduates whose accomplishments are noteworthy, and the nomination process is the best way to learn about their stories,” Burke said.  “But the catch is that someone has to take the time to share those stories.”

If you know of a Deer Park graduate who is deserving of recognition by the Hall, complete the nomination form and email it to the Deer Park ISD Communications Department at [email protected].  Forms can also be dropped off or mailed to the Communications Department, DPISD Education Support Center, 2800 Texas Ave., Deer Park TX 77536.

Download/print the nomination form at the link below or go to http://www.dpisd.org/hall/.  The website also includes a list of all previous inductees.

Nomination packets must be received by 4 p.m. on May 15, 2024 so there is plenty of time to submit a nomination!
