SCHOOL BOARD RECOGNIZES DEER PARK HIGH SCHOOL FFA FOR PLSR SUCCESS
It’s a Deer Dynasty! The Deer Park ISD Board of Trustees recently recognized students and staff representing the Deer Park High School FFA program for their continued success at the Pasadena Livestock Show and Rodeo!
This year, Deer Park students contributed 144 livestock and non-livestock entries and earned:
- 7 of the 12 possible Grand Champions;
- 6 of the 12 possible Reserve Champions; and
- 13 of the 20 possible Showmanship buckles.
Our students devote countless hours, resources, and effort to their projects, and their hard work is clearly reflected in their achievements. This year, Deer Park FFA was honored to be represented with 57 spots in the PLSR Auction, where our students earned a combined $264,600, not including additional add-ons or after-sale earnings.

PEMEX DEER PARK DONATES SAFETY SIGNS, EQUIPMENT TO DEER PARK SCHOOLS
Thanks to Pemex Deer Park for its continued partnership with Deer Park ISD!
In September, Pemex donated first aid kits for all of the campus shelter-in-place (SIP) bags, which the company also donated to the District. This week, Pemex donated “SIP” signs to identify the location of each shelter-in-place bag, ensuring that the bags can be easily accessed during an emergency. These donations will help keep our students and employees safe in the event of an emergency.
