Meet Your Teacher

Hi!  Welcome to the wonderful world of 4th grade dual language.  My name is Mrs. Woodson, and I am so excited to teach reading, writing, and social studies in English and Spanish.  More importantly, I am thrilled to have you in my class this year!  We will have so much fun reading about different characters and their journeys, expressing our thoughts, opinions, and creativity through writing, and going back in time to learn all about Texas history. Get ready for some amazing classroom discussions and fun projects!  I can't wait to get to know each and every one of you.

I was born in Houston, TX, grew up in Deer Park, and graduated from Deer Park High School in 2001.  I live with my husband and 6-year-old daughter.  We enjoy eating out together.  One of my favorite things to do is spend time with my daughter, and we both LOVE to dance!

This will be my 15th year in education.  I have taught 2nd grade, 3rd grade, and 4th grade.  I graduated from Lamar University in 2007 and was a member of the dance team and dance honor society.  Go CARDS!!

Last year was my first year teaching at SJE, and I loved it.  I'm so glad to be back and plan to stay here for a very long time.  As they say, SJE is the place to be!

I hope you enjoy being a part of my class and that you love learning.  I am here for YOU.  We will have a great year!

Hola! Bienvenidos al maravilloso mundo de lenguaje dual de 4º grado. Mi nombre es Sra. Woodson y estoy muy emocionada de enseñar lectura, escritura y estudios sociales en inglés y español. Más importante aún, ¡estoy
encantada de tenerte en mi clase este año! Nos divertiremos mucho leyendo sobre diferentes personajes y sus viajes, expresando nuestros pensamientos, opiniones y creatividad a través de la escritura, y retrocediendo en
el tiempo para aprender todo sobre la historia de Texas. ¡Prepárate para increíbles discusiones en el aula y proyectos divertidos! No puedo esperar para conocer a todos y cada uno de ustedes.

Nací en Houston, TX, crecí en Deer Park y me gradué de Deer Park High School en 2001. Vivo con mi esposo y mi hija de 6 años. Disfrutamos salir a comer juntos. Una de mis cosas favoritas de hacer es pasar tiempo con mi hija, ¡y a las dos nos ENCANTA bailar!

Este será mi decimoquinto año en educación. He enseñado en 2º, 3º y 4º grado. Me gradué de la Universidad Lamar en 2007 y fui miembro del equipo de danza y de la sociedad de honor de danza. ¡¡Vaya CARDS!!

El año pasado fue mi primer año enseñando en SJE y me encantó. Estoy muy contenta de estar de regreso y planeo quedarme aquí por mucho tiempo. Como dicen, ¡SJE es el lugar para estar!
