HI!  My name is Mandy Addicks and I am so excited to have you in my 7th grade Science or 8th grade AVID!  This is going to be a GREAT year!!! 

 

I was born and raised in Oklahoma.  I attended Oklahoma Baptist University and graduated in 2000.  I majored in Elementary/Early Childhood Education.  I have two amazing little girls. Hadley is 7 and starting 2nd grade at Carpenter and has Ms. Dobbins as her teacher.  Hannah is 3 1/2 going on 13 and attends Little Steps Childcare.  They are both taking dance this year at Twin Arts Studio.   I am very active at our church and "love to run" I ran my 5th 1/2 marathon last January!!!!!  

 

This is my 20th year to each.  I was in Galveston ISD teaching 2nd grade for one year.  Then I moved to Dickinson ISD and tuaght for 6 years in 1st and 2nd grade.  In 2008 I moved to Deer Park ISD to each at Deer Park Elementary where I taught 3rd grade and 5th grade for 4 year before moving to Bonnette.  I have been at BJH ever since!  

 

I am so excited about the 2020-2021 school year!  It is going to be the best yet even with these bumps in the road.
