Volunteers needed for DPISD Citizens’ Planning and Action Committee

Deer Park ISD is seeking citizens to evaluate, assess, and prioritize facility needs to help ensure we are providing the best learning environments possible for all DPISD students. Ultimately, representatives from this group will report their findings and recommendations to the DPISD Board of Trustees.

Our goal is to select committee members who represent a true cross-section of our community. We want to ensure diversity and representation of all stakeholders. In order to do this, the district hopes to select approximately 50-60 people who have a variety of backgrounds, live in different geographic areas of the district, and who represent various groups such as parents, non-parents, staff, students, and community leaders.

Please click the link below to submit name(s) and contact information for consideration. You may also forward this link to a community member who would be a strong candidate to serve on the committee. Committee members should reside within DPISD’s boundaries.

Those who are selected to serve on the committee will receive an invitation. The committee meetings will begin in late August and will most likely conclude in December.
