Come join us for the 17th Annual Strides for Schools 5K Fun Run/Walk 2026

The 2026 Strides For Schools 5K Fun Run/Walk will be on Saturday, April 25th with a start time of 8am from the home side of the Clyde Abshier Stadium parking lot.  This is the largest fundraiser for the Deer Park Education Foundation’s Teacher Grant Program and we need everyone’s support to reach our goals. Registration is: Student $20, Adults $30, and Adult Shirt Only $25. To receive $2 off each entry, register by 11:59pm March 15th.  Shell Deer Park is once again sponsoring the STEM Grant Campus Challenge.  Each Deer Park school campus that receives at least 100 registrations will earn a $2,500 STEM Grant and the school with the most registrations will win an additional $2,500 Grant. Congratulations to San Jacinto Elementary for being our $5,000 winner for 2025! Current registration totals are listed by campus on the school tab of the race website. Register today and help your campus WIN!

DPEF is Accepting Teacher Grant Applications for the 2026-27 School Year.

 

 

Each year, the Deer Park Education Foundation invites teachers to submit grant requests, up to $2,500, for items such as: materials, technology, guest speakers, field trips and other innovative ideas.  The grant can be for an individual classroom, a grade level or for a campus or district project.  All applications must be submitted by 6pm Friday, March 27, 2026.
