About Ms. Cothran
Hello! The 2025-2026 school year will be my 17th year as a Teacher of the Deaf! I am still not sure how that is possible. It is a privilege to get to know and work with students who are deaf or hard-of-hearing throughout Deer Park ISD and the Region 4 RDSPD.
- I grew up in Deer Park, Texas, and graduated from Deer Park High School in 2005.
- I graduated from Baylor University in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in Communication, Sciences and Disorders with a Deaf Education focus. My minor degree is in American Sign Language.
- In December 2024, I graduated from the University of Houston with masters degree in Special Populations - Leadership.
- This is my eleventh year serving students in Deer Park ISD.
