Welcome

This is my 15th year of teaching and 11th year in Deer Park ISD. I completed my undergraduate program at Texas State University in San Marcos. My degree was in Exercise Sport Science with a Minor in Health Administration. Right out of college I started teaching gymnastic and discovered my love of teaching and started a program to become certified.

 

I began my teaching career coaching PE and then soon transitioned to Special Education. I taught Special Education for 7 years before being hired as an Intervention Specialist. 

 

This will be my 8th year at Dabbs Elementary as a Math Interventionist. 

 

In August of 2019 I completed my graduate degree in Special Populations from the University of Houston. I finished my internship in the Spring of 2020 to add a Diagnostician certification to my Teaching Certificate. I also currently hold my EC-6th general education certification, my EC-12 Special Education Certification and my EC-12 Physical Education certification, as well as my ESL certification.
