New Teacher Resources

Welcome to Deer Park ISD! We are excited that you will be joining Team Deer Park for the 2023-2024 school year.

We are fortunate in Deer Park ISD that our teachers and students are 1:1 with Apple iPads. Such amazing technology requires professional learning so that you are prepared to integrate technology into your role in our district. There are two course requirements that we ask our new hires to complete: Instructional Technology Academy (ITA) and our 1:1 Apple iPad Integration Workshops. All courses are eligible for the exchange hour program in Deer Park ISD. At this time, the 1:1 Apple iPad Integration Workshop is optional for the Early Childhood Center teachers, but all are welcome to attend and receive credit.

It is our suggestion that you take the Instructional Technology Academy first, then the 1:1 Apple iPad Integration Workshop. Prior to the first day of your ITA course, you will be given a time to come to our Technology Building and setup your district iPad. That device will be needed to complete both courses.
