GUIDING BELIEF
We believe all students can learn and achieve at high levels when provided meaningful access to high-quality instruction, appropriate supports, and high expectations. Special education exists to remove barriers, build opportunities, and develop independence so every student can experience belonging, participation, and success. We believe our responsibility extends beyond serving students; we build the capacity of educators, campuses, and families to create sustainable systems of support that strengthen inclusive practices and benefit all learners. Our goal is to provide the supports students need today while developing the skills, confidence, and self-advocacy they need to be successful tomorrow and throughout life.

SPECIAL EDUCATION PHILOSOPHY

We believe all students can learn, grow, and achieve their maximum potential when provided access, opportunity, and appropriate support. Through inclusive practices and high expectations, we ensure students are meaningful participants in their educational community while receiving the individualized services necessary for success.

Special education is a service, not a place. Our purpose is to equip students with the skills, strategies, and self-advocacy needed to become increasingly independent and successful in school and beyond. As students develop the skills and independence needed to be successful, supports and services should evolve to reflect their changing needs. We believe the ultimate measure of success is not dependence on supports, but a student's ability to understand their strengths, advocate for their needs, and confidently use the tools and strategies necessary for lifelong success.
