National Benefits Services (NBS)

Eligible employees are encouraged to participate in the 457(b) and/or 403(b) retirement plan(s). These retirement plans are administered by a Third-Party Administrator named National Benefits Services.

 

What is a 457(b) plan?

 

A 457 plan is a tax-deferred compensation plan provided for employees of certain tax-exempt, governmental organizations or public education institutions.

 

What is a 403(b) plan?

 

A 403(b) plan, also known as a Tax-Sheltered Annuity (TSA), is a tax-deferred retirement plan provided for employees of certain tax-exempt, governmental organizations or public education institutions.

 

The 457(b) and 403(b) allow you to contribute a portion of your compensation as a pre-tax or post-tax (Roth) contribution to save for retirement. Participation is completely voluntary.

 

How to enroll in a plan?

 

A list of approved vendor(s) and the Salary Reduction Agreement (SRA) can be found by visiting the National Benefits Services website at http://www.nbsbenefits.com/non-erisa-403b-forms/  or by contacting NBS at (800)274-0503.
